The summer sun is beating down and all you can think about is getting home to sit in front of that A/C and grab an ice cold beer. The last thing you want to worry about is adding more clothes to your daily routine. But while a lot of guys are able to go sockless and slip on a pair of flip flops, that’s just not a reality for most. Here are three events this summer that will make you wish you upped your sock game instead of slipping on those sandals.

1. Monday morning board meeting.

If you’re like most guys, you spend Sunday night cramming for that big presentation on Monday. You’ll want to look your best, and that means your favorite suit— and your sharpest pair of dress socks. Now you’re  paired up with his girl’s prettiest bridesmaid and the last thing you want to do is screw it up by showing off your ankles underneath that rented tux. A pair of colorful summer socks is the perfect way to peacock your way around the wedding reception without overshadowing the other sartorially challenged groomsmen.

3. The bouncehouse at your neice’s birthday party.

Whether she’s turning a precocious 8, or maybe an ironic 28, this is one place you don’t want to be caught without your socks on. So you’re faced with a choice— deny your inner child a chance to enter that inflatable castle, or slip on some expertly designed summer socks and impress everyone with more than just your perfect backflip.
